Human 6 – Compiled 9-16 Focused Libraries

This collection of Dharmacon siGENOME siRNAs was purchased in 2014 as part of the RNAi Global Consortium with funding from Harvard Medical School’s Tools and Technologies Committee. The design of this library is based on RefSeq version 27 and incorporates recent advances in siRNA algorithm design to help decrease RNAi off-target effects. The siRNAs are arrayed as SMARTpools.

384-Well Plate Formats

This library, together with Dharmacon 2014 Human 7 Remaining Druggable Genome and Dharmacon 2014 Human 8 Remaining Genome, comprise the entire siRNA library targeting the human genome.

The SMARTpools in this library are also plated in discrete functional sets, represented by Dharmacon 2014 Human 9 through Dharmacon 2014 Human 16 libraries. The SMARTpools are plated continuously in this library (Human 6), thus minimizing the number of 384-well plates required for screening. Investigators should not screen both Human 6 and the Human 9 – 16 libraries. If you have questions about which library is most appropriate for your research goals, please contact Jennifer Smith.
