# Fee Summary

Fees are charged for screens and equipment use at ICCB-Longwood. These fees help us to recover a portion of our operating expenses. ICCB-Longwood fees (and associated Facilities and Administration fees) are revised annually based upon the Harvard Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30). The fee structure is updated on the ICCB-Longwood website as soon as it is available. All charges are based on the fee at the time of service, not a previously provided estimate or price structure from a previous fiscal year.

Fees below represent the rates for FY26 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026).

Screening fees do not include the cost of assay reagents and consumables. Funding for all assay reagents and consumables (excluding library) is provided by the screener.

HMS charges a Facilities and Administration (F&A) fee to all labs whose grants do not go through Harvard.

## Instrument Training and Use

Investigators not conducting a small molecule or functional genomics screen at ICCB-L are welcome to use equipment to conduct their own experiments in microplate format. Scientists are charged a one-time training fee for each instrument they are trained on.

Independent instrument use is charged hourly based on reserved and actual time used. Session cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. [PPMS ](https://iccb.med.harvard.edu/equipment-booking-ppms)is used for instrument reservations and calculates the time used.

The above fees for screening the full siRNA genome include cherry picks for the individual siRNA duplexes corresponding to 300 genes per screen (1200 duplexes for Dharmacon genome, 900 duplexes for an Ambion screen). Additional cherry picks can be requested at $4 per duplex picked / $16 per gene (academic pricing). The duplex volume provided is the same volume of SMARTpool reagents that were used in the primary screen.

The above full druggable sgRNA CRISPR fee includes a cherry pick of 150 sgRNAs for each screen.
